the banks are hoarding the money. basically, they lost trillions and the fed has replaced it. the economy is in the tank and the banks won't loan much. money in a vault won't destroy the economy and it ain't coming out until after we start getting a real recovery, which will be a while. now, when the depression level unemployment hits and sticks for a while, then the presses will be employed to start paying for more and more of government services. like paying people. that's when we head the direction of zimbabwe, imho. it might take a 1-3 years to get there, though. TBT is my largest position right now, but i think it could be taken down 20% if the S&P cracks - flight to safety and all. i'm out of TBT the second the S&P cracks and TBT shows weakness. i will re-enter, of course. hopefully at a lower price.
