No, I don't think Insta Mapper would work for me. It looks like it has to continuously transmit data, and that would chew up battery. Also, it looks like it has to be turned on (i.e., can't be left on in background) and that requires cooperation from the target phone holder. I'd like to find something that runs in background and only acts when it receives a text message (or something) upon which it gets a GPS fix and sends the location to the person who requested it. I suspect nothing exists for this, though for the life of me, I don't see why. Since you should be able to enable or disable the function at will it shouldn't raise privacy issues. Dan
