You didn't acknowledge that we're now taxing the most efficient liquid fuel the highest while subsidizing the least efficient liquid fuel. If we can rely on politicians to encourage energy efficiency, how do you explain that?

Every day the average cost of getting a barrel of oil out of the ground goes up, every day it becomes more difficult.

The cost of producing oil isn't a big problem. National national oil companies under-investing and thus limiting supply is.

Every day we are exporting our dollars to petrol dictatorships and making them stronger. Our wealth is decreasing, their wealth and influence are increasing.

Yet you don't want drilling in your area of the world, unless its Cuba doing it.

So you can pull your hair out and scream "SOCIALIST!!!!"

Now who is screaming here?

BTW though I know Obama favors socialized medicine, I wouldn't call his energy ideas socialist per se. Closer to fascism imo.
