ouch I bought compaq on margin last week at 72 thinking that was low. No money to buy it at 62 or 65!
What happens in a margin call: does the broker let you decide which stock to sell to make it up (assuming you dont want to put in more cash) or does the broker just sell without asking and tell you after?
