This is called Tasking.

Its always developed & authorized with intent, based on forethought.

The report gives no indication of findings, so there is no conclusion about whether or not this Tasking, generated any value to the agencies publicly claimed mission statement.

One wonders if the information derived there from will show that Mutual Funds were loaning stock in opposition to investor interests, for fees converted to bonuses and what not?

The Mutual Fud Industry is large with varied operations, so clarity would be nice. To understand why Trading operations of a later revealed scam were able to be overridden by issues related to mutual funds crime NFI, which may or may not have ever yielded any findings, that the public is aware of.

Markopoulos gave the SEC information, for how long about Madoff?

Now that Mr Madoff is installed to safe keeping, and Mr Markopolous testimony rings ever louder....as echos across known space, we must all decide what to think...about them that rents the keys to the engine pushing the driver in the direction the driver sets on his recently installed GPS.
