I used to say that any intellectual worth their salt was busy making a fortune in private industry. Then I grew up and realized that many intellectuals simply never were motivated by money. They are diversified alright, but don't expect them to be as ideologically pure as the Dems and GOP. They don't always fit a political mold very well.
