but I'd bet that consumption of energy rises in direct proportion to income and wealth. I guess you have no idea what's involved in either the trucking or construction industries. My father used to drive 160 miles a day just to obtain work in construction. He did it for 15 years straight. He was not a rich man by any means. Not poor (because he was frugal and saved), but not rich. I also have a lot of relatives in construction.. I hope you can tell them how their consumption of energy corresponds to their wealth. They'll tell you that the farther they have to drive, it's more likely due to LACK OF LOCAL WORK. They certainly won't get paid anymore. Hawk
