BTW, if California had the same house prices as Arizona it would be considered dirt cheap by California standards. It also does not explain most of what has happened at the national level. What it does explain is why the eighth largest economy in the world is in a state of complete financial meltdown, and it explains why so many absurd and counterproductive other tax measures have been taken since 1978.
