On Tuesday, the U.S. Conference Board said its Consumer Confidence index fell to 49.3 in June from a revised 54.8 in May.
The decrease surprised economists, who had expected the index to edge up to 55.3 from the 54.9

U.S. Construction Spending fell 0.9% percent in May and was more than the 0.5% decline expected by economists and worse
than the 0.6% increase in April. Total spending in May was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $964 billion, which was the
lowest since March 2004. Construction spending fell for six consecutive months before April's increase. Private construction
dropped 1% and residential construction, which makes up more than a third of private building, slipped 3.4% to its lowest level
since December 1995

On Wednesday, Payroll firm Automated Data Processing (ADP) said that Non-Farm Private Employment fell by 473,000
jobs in June following a revised decrease of 485,000 jobs in May.

The Mortgage Bankers Association reported Wednesday that the volume of Mortgage Applications filed last week dropped
nearly 19% from the previous week.
