Where is the news release?
CKFR did shoot back quickly earlier than the rest of the stocks, but didn't finish on the days highs, like most others. That tells me that there is news out there. What could it be?
Also, I want to clear some things up as I've seen various posts and references as to who owns whom. It's my understanding that INTU has an equity position in CKFR by as much as $300M, not the other way around as I seem to recall someone stating. Is this correct? If so, why wouldn't it be wise to by INTU given it's equity posistion in CKFR and XCIT? Granted it has recovered substantially from the low $20s, but it had been as high as 80 a couple years ago when MSFT wanted to by them. Also, the stats on CKFR have higher premiums that INTU. Most of CKFRs business won't crank in until well into 98, so it seems the short term valuation of CKFR is ALL speculation of what they can do, not what they're doing, earnings wise, today.
Thoughts?
(By the way, I unloaded when the price got back to $26.50 knowing that it opened around $23. But, always looking for an excuse to get back in. I want either CKFR or INTU. Again, it seems that I can have both if I buy INTU.) |
