I was thinking about all the treaties, alliances, negotiated positions, undocumented quid pro quo and just general chaos that is probably the country and its internal / external affairs right now. It seems the only rational response, is "Well, what CAN we do and what should we SAY?" I feel better with the current admin making that call than the last. I don't envy anyone in that position. It may be as bleak as Wharfy says.
