Palin/Sanford - seems we have a couple of new governerships in play. I'm trying to make some sense of it and am torn. I have little doubt that we need more information which I have little doubt will arrive soon. Too many people focused on this story for it to stay hidden. At the moment, I'm thinking three possible explanatory paths. First, some sort of scandal with the need to raise money to fund all the lawyer needs. Second, some serious family need that requires far more of her time than in the past. And, third, some opportunity on the national scene that requires giving up the governor's office--TV opportunity, etc. But I don't see any way, given the small amount of information available, to pick one or even some combination of them.
