It could have been Fred Shmotz from Swift Current for all I know, or any one of millions of cybergamblers with a TDW account

Given the lack of sister bids I highly doubt it was a professional acting on knowledge -- more likely IMO it was just somebody who likes the story who isn't big on patience

I guess we'll find out come the open on Monday when we see if there's any follow-through with serious $ behind it
