I'll bet we beat the 2007 record as the heat seems to be increasing as it accumulates. I have never seen a summer this sunny up here!

Off for my bike ride and to check my local glacier. When it gets real hot the rocks jutting out absorb the heat and radiate it into the glacier, and the increaed melt is visable from a new waterfall which formed recently as the glacier is recedng up the mountain so fast.

The temperature is prject to be 81 tomorrow. That is very hot for us and about the same for Fairbanks which is pretty close to the artic circle..
