I am actually waiting for real news which would drive volatility. Short term realised and implied volatility are too low; making option writers too optimistic.

One of those news could be a shakeup in britain, the other a Ch.7 conversion of any of the big bankruptcies, the third, of course a better public perception of the silent collapse in southern Europe (happening right now) and Californica, not honoring IOUs come October first.

Do we have a name for it? "The Wilshire Crisis"
