Of course not. Biblical "arguments" have persuasive value only for the superstitious and they have persuasive value only to the followers of the particular bible or sect or dogma. Such "arguments" have no place in what purports to be a rational examination of an important social issue.

They are not truly distinct but it would not matter if they were. A speck of protoplasm is NOT a human person--not yet and hopefully not ever.

And you can discontinue the red herring arguments whenever you like, Sap. Nobody that I know who advocates the continuance of human rights for women thinks that the fertilized speck of protoplasm is anything other than homo sapien dna. You don't hear anyone claiming it is monkey dna or fruit fly dna. It might be close to these (well, it IS very close to these!)--but it is HUMAN DNA.
