Funny, but I can't seem to find the posts you made criticizing Obama for walking away from the people of Illinois after only two years on the job. When elected, he promised to serve. Why did Obama abandon the citizens of Illinois?

___________

Personally, I hate the common practice of politicians holding one elective office while they spend all their time running for another. Democrats and Republicans. Obama did it. Hillary did it. George Bush did it, no? So did Biden, Ron Paul, McCain...etc.

However, even the most jaded partisan can see some difference in a person having been elected to a higher, national office, or having been appointed to the cabinet, resigning from a lower elective office. Done all the time.

Sarah's move looks much more like she is tired of the current job and all the infighting that being a governor entails. No current national position beckons to serve the people. However, she does say she has a "higher calling", so we'll have to see what she resigned to pursue.
