Graffiti is a huge problem in LA costing businesses, homeowners and cities millions of dollars every years. It also adds to the gang problem because that's how they stake out their territory.

A couple of 15-year-olds spray painted my wall and a fence, which cost me $400. Fortunately, the city I live in now has an ordinance that taggers (if they're caught) have to pay the cost and they also get fined. Their parents had to not only reimburse me but they also had to pay a $1000 fine. They moved out of the city. :)
