Hoping not to sound too much like a spokesperson for NAR, there has never been a better time to buy a high-end acoustic guitar. It is sad, but I believe the sheer number of excellent pieces available is indicative of economic stress.

Yesterday I picked up another one for a song. $3500 bucks for a dead-mint 1.5 year old Adirondack Collings OM1 with VARNISH. Just to give you an idea what kind of deal that is, just the varnish finish is an extra 2 grand on top of the base price of the guitar and the Adirondack wood is another grand upcharge. I basically paid $500 buck for the the rest of the guitar's materials and the legendary (there is no equal) Collings labor, knowledge, and tone. I've got one on order right now that is almost identical for $7800 clownbucks. Just crazy.

No bargaining, as I paid the guy what he was asking.

If anyone wants to know where to find the good stuff, send me a PM. I know of a dozen great pieces available around the USA right now. I track them every week.

Good Playing
