That's a silly quote. Are conservatives now against academia and education in general? Our prosperity is predicated on a highly educated population. If the GOP is against academia then they are very simply against continued prosperity and progress in this country. Is an exceedingly silly and stupid position to take. No wonder the GOP gets derided as the anti-science and anti-education party. What a joke.
