I believe you have seriously misread Brinker's market comments
on Moneytalk. He has said for years that a short term correction
of up to about ten percent can occur at any time in a bull market.
As of Monday night's close the S & P 500 which represents 70% of
the USA stock market closed at 877 down 11% from its record high.
This is well within the area of a ten percent correction and
unquestionably a short-term event. Brinker told California
listeners Monday during an interview that the market would
achieve new Dow and S & P highs over the next several months.
He made no reference whatsoever to anything other than a
short term correction which he says was aggravated by the
Asian currency slide. He also continues to avoid Asian markets.
As of Tuesday night the S & P is now down only 6.7% from the highs.
