Bobby... YES it can. A network computer can access ANYTHING that is available via one of the network protocols(language) it speaks assuming of course it has authorization to do so.

Basically, if it is a server or hangs off one, like a disk drive or a disk-array (Radion), an NC or PC or mainframe or SPARC or any other thing that can reach that server can access the data residing therein. Once again assuming it has rights to do so.
