S, re:<The K6 die size (168 mm2) is much larger than pentium mmx> You and I both know that the K6 in 0.25 micron process (68 mm sq) and K6-3D (81, if I remember right) both have a considerably smaller die size than Intel's Deschutes or even their slow Tillamook CPU's. Furthermore, the 3D's FPU performance will make mincemeat of Intel. Hope you have sold out of AMD Sorry, S, I think you'll find both myself and Brian around here a while. I couldn't buy any AMD this morning at 20 because my money was tied up in an SPX put spread, but a 19% gain in one day (27% intraday) is more than Intel will see in the next year. I realize that AMD is still risky until the results of the mask change are confirmed, but nothing in the market is free. Petz
