Hi Peter, Russell (rrman) tipped me off to it right here: techstocks.com I AM NOT KIDDING YOU!!!! When I saw his post, I check Globex, verified what he saw, and immediately cancelled my puts. At that point something said to me, "Billyboy, suppose we held a crash and nobody came to it?" Then the Peter Jenning charade with Jimmy Rogers hit me... Then what Haim posted about the sell-off being based on a lack of buyers rather than a rash of sellers. Then the VIX at 40 and so many put options were INCREDIBLY overpriced... So this little voice inside said loud and clear, "Media event, sucker crash!" And that is what I posted and left for work and never turned back! BTW, called my broker dozens of times during the day... 75% busy signals, 15% technical problems - click, and only 3 times did I actually get through to check things out... Can you IMAGINE the stress I would have been under all day had I been in the market with those puts... the ones that settled at 1/4??? Egad. THANK YOU RUSSELL!!!! And everyone else here!
