To claim that the market is small, or as someone else did -- that they couldn't find a plan in or around NYC is just silly.

Well - why don't you get on ehealthinsurance.com, and key in zipcode 12524. It's now up to a whole 3 plans since I checked years ago. One is an Empire 'Hospital' plan that covers very little and would cost $300/month for my wife and I (probably like that guy we talked about who was written up in the NY Times last week, going bankrupt because of his heart surgeries). The GHI plan would cost $1135.21/month, and the Empire 'Direct Pay HMO' plan would cost $1998.24/month...
