My Ubuntu friend uses Verizon for about half what I pay for phone/internet from ATT.

I have Bright House which I think is regional. The price for Verizon was a few $'s more, and I'm not sure it includes DVR service. Actually Bright House is very good. Almost never goes down and their customer service is first rate.
