I think her resignation is ultimately going to hurt her with any undecideds and those willing to consider her. The lack of experience will become a major issue which may resonate with them. Simply put, Mayor of Wasilla and a partial term as governor of Alaska will not cut it, esp. as we witness an inexperienced O! make a dog's breakfast of things.

I think we'll see a pendulum swing towards non-ideological competency taking place after O!'s first term. This does not bode well for Palin.

Reagan had [I think] two terms as governor of California under his belt. I don't think Reagan and Palin can be compared. He faced enormous challenges as governor of a large and complex state which he dealt with very competently.

Can you imagine Reagan quitting anything?

No, I don't think Reagan and Palin can be discussed as analogues.
