Greg
I have been shorting DELL successfully since it was at $102. Believe me it has been a LOT of fun. The only time I lost money was when it
hovered around 100 interday, and I wanted to do other things with my
play money.
Menahwhile I have been keeping an eye out for DELL downward movements.
I covered my short around 81 yesterday, was dismayed that I missed the
boat to its downward spiral to 73. Am short yet again at 89.
DELL has nothing special to offer any more. It is a commodity producer
with some neat operations management/expense control tricks(easily emulated). It has little R&D(unlike HWP, IBM and DEC), is too
arrogant to make sub-1000 systems and is slowing down(I think the
projected growth rate is 20%). All this spells trouble. In fact,
I am betting $90,000 that DELL will go down to the ground. Sanity
will prevail. It always does!

Best regards and good luck
