PHEVs are a transition plan. Many car makers are going straight to EVs within the next 2-3 years.

That would be very stupid. Who would want to buy a car that was limited to 200-250 miles before needing to be charged OVERNIGHT??!!

Unless it's a quick-charging Ultracapacitor, you'll need an engine to recharge that battery and provide additional range once the battery is depleted.

This kind of nonsense you spew out is what should be worrying EVERYONE trying to analyse the alternative energy markets. You want us to pay nearly twice as much for an EV vehicle and then you want to limit us to only 250 miles per day on a cross-country trip.
