In my college days, and during the summer, I was a forestry firefighter for the State of California. So, yes, I was in some major wild fires that made national and international news.

Is that "full blown"? I don't know. Maybe not, as I only participated in a handful of structural fires, such as typically served by volunteer fire departments.
