I would buy one. Did you know that 99% of Americans drive less than 60 miles per day? 80% drive less than 40 miles per day.

Yeah.. you and your BS statistics... Just like GW, you have the torture the data until you get the result you desire, not what is represented by reality.

You have no understanding of the concept of a "family vacation" do you? Load up the car, and often drive more than 500 miles or more to visit some national park or Disneyland/World. So now we have to own a SEPARATE CAR just for those kinds of situations?? That's not very efficient, or smart.

Hell, I would have been screwed these past 4 months had I been required to relegate my distance to 200-250 miles. I drove to and from Houston (about 2000 miles each way) packing a ton of stuff we required while my father was in the hospital.

If I had been forced to use an all electric vehicle, that trip would have taken 10 days, and any savings in fuel would have been eaten up by having to sleep in hotel rooms.
