7/10/09 update
The Fourth of July fireworks apparently stirred up the Bears more than the Bulls and when Friday's closing bell rang the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 11.74% CYTD, or Contest Year To Date, (vs. up 14.31% CYTD a week ago). Biotechs were also down for the week, with the Nasdaq Biotech Index closing Friday up .44% CYTD (vs. up 1.55% CYTD a week ago) and the Contest median closing up 6.93% CYTD (vs. up 10.67% CYTD a week ago).
RKRW's portfolio had another losing week but held on to first place as the portfolios of the runners up, GENE & GEORGIA, were down as well. The week's closing CYTD percentages are: RKRW up 69.01%, GENE up 58.36%, GEORGIA up 49.8%.
At Friday's close, 20 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 19 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
Portfolio adjustments: CGRB buyout by J&J for $43. I reallocated proceeds using 7/10/09 closing prices.
Have a terrific weekend folks!
