In a large business you'd be salesman.

Had management at GM listened to the "bean counters" it would never have been necessary to take a government handout or go to Chapter 11. But management was focused on sales -- like you -- and didn't understand that you have to make money on what you sell.

It is typical of salesmen. They simply don't understand the concept of profits. It is all about the revenue. That's why you're a salesman.

So your response to that now is to let them go out of business, and suffer the consequences at a national level...right?

My response hasn't changed one iota. As a "bean counter" I recognize that if you don't do away with the unions they are a money pit. Period, end of story. You cannot make these businesses profitable on a long term basis without getting rid of the labor unions. Can't be done.

So, the sooner they go broke, the sooner the taxpayers quit getting soaked. So, yes, let them go out of business. As their assets are liquidated, they'll come back without the baggage of the labor unions.

If you understood anything about business you would recognize this rather obvious fact.
