OMG Everyone must see this unbelievable interview! I knew that lobbyists were behind this, but this spells out the details of how special interests can have such a powerful effect in our contorted form of "democracy." I'm sure the same thing occurs with the entire financial system, with regard to lobbyists influencing decisions. The whole health care system is wrapped up by Wall Street, to be sure "investors" are happy with the medical loss ratio - the less claims they pay, the more money they make.
