The good part is the WinChip is 50% cheaper to mfg. Unless Intel sells for a loss they cant match the WinChip! Could Intel get away with dumping as they are not a foriegn company? Any experts on anti dumping laws? Long term concern is PII market share over the next 12 months.It seems Intel is in a tight position. The Intel roadmap is for thePII to be 90% of sales by the end of 98: chipanalyst.com If they sell the PII's into the sub 1000 market they really hurt sales in the +2000 pc market.I think Intel did not plan on the sub 1k market emerging.
