I had a girl in my eighth grade class who got pregnant. She also happened to be the poorest girl in the class, the one with two unemployed, disabled, neglectful, and abusive parents. Her father was a crippled Vietnam vet. She often would have to leave the house for long stretches to live with an aunt. Very unstable situation.
