Hi Jim, My main intent behind posting this story had more to do with the subject of algorithmic trading, in general, since I've posted here many times in the past about the deleterious effects on competitive posturing of transaction latency as a function of geographic distances and prorogation times. Although I should note that in this case I was buoyed to posting this piece by your earlier message concerning the risks associated with high-frequency trading. That the article presents what appear to be issues that are arguably moralistic in nature is purely a function of coincidence and outside the scope of my reason for posting it here. I'll admit, however, that it raises quite a few interesting questions. FAC ------
