If I may since it's a weekend ... I know program trading is an old hat but, correct me if I am wrong, wasn't the initial idea based on maximizing returns on an existing trend (based on fundamentals) versus creating a "fictitious" / TA / chart based trend? Aren't we coming to a point where FA and TA are becoming redundant as FA is overshadowed by TA and TA is overshadowed by money which does not exist? Sorry if I am going OT but I can't think of a better forum to raise this issue.
