Pew surveyed more than 2,500 scientists, conducted in collaboration with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, which offered a pretty strong sample size. The survey found that more than half (55%) of the scientists identified themselves as Democrats, and nearly as many (52%) call themselves liberal.

This is a surprise to you? Why the hell do you think "scientists" believe in Global Warming in spite of substantial scientific evidence that it doesn't exist? At the very least, a sensible scientific position would be agnostic on the subject. Yet, a large portion (your post said 84%) still believe in GW.

Hell, these people are a product of the liberal academia. They don't know anything about the real world. What do you expect?
