No doctor can afford that so the elderly will die earlier, thus freeing up much needed money.

I think they will go after the "Fee for service" payments and leave the HMO's alone. Everybody knows that HMO's are the Gov preferred system. My Kaiser works fine for me. You just have to be prepared to take charge of your own healthcare and be aggressive about it. I think most here have read the newsletter featuring my experience with Kaiser the last couple of years.
