Gib, you are confusing capitalism with state-backed theft. When the state confiscates OPM and hands it over to their mates, it doesn't matter whether they are unionists, government employees, welfare recipients, or so-called capitalists such as AIG and GS, it is not capitalism.

If you really think that is capitalism, then you don't understand what capitalism is. That's just good old garden-variety alpha male tribal dominance hierarchy kleptocratic theft.

Capitalism would have seen GS, GM, AIG, etc on the block, knocked down to the highest bidder. I was all ready to buy GS and maybe GM but my bids were not allowed. I didn't want AIG as insurance is not of much interest to me. I would have liked to buy Fannie and Freddie too as it would be fun to own a few million houses.
