Ramsey,I do check stochastics before I buy,but I depend on Candlesticks to a great degree for buy and sell signals.

My initial interest is always fundamentals and once I've decided I want to be in a stock,I look for promising candlestick signals to time buying in.My limited experience with conventional TA leads me to believe no single indicator is reliable for all stocks.

Market conditions can always interfere with candlesticks, but the signals are the same from stock to stock.

WIND's candle for today is a "Piercing Line".When it appears in a downtrend,it signals a reversal and an up day tomorrow. Of course, many other stocks formed positive candles today(Qualcomm has a "Bullish Engulfing")so tomorrow should be a good day.

I don't have a great deal of confidence that we won't see more testing of lows in the near future but today's volume convinced that there are still buyers left in the world. I had ventured over to the Big Kahuna thread and gotten truly depressed--they are a different breed over there!
