great if you enjoy health and don't have a few kids who are continually getting infections running to doctors. most families i know with small children have hmo's and couldn't live with major deductible coverage.

a good reason for not having one plan available to consumers. certainly, young people who feel they do not require medical insurance should be able to buy something with deep deductibles. same with adults without children who can afford large out of pocket fee if they have a major illness. most times the difference in monthly rates over take the one time fee after a few years.
