whether Medicare acts arbitrarily on claim approval. They change their coverage and fee policies so often - and so arbitrarily - depending on whatever new smart idea they get, and what new vote they take - that for practical purposes the effect is almost indistinguishable from approving or denying claims at will. You purchase, say, a fiberoptic sigmoidoscope based on need - and on current fees -- and soon afterwards they'd cut fees to a level below what it costs per procedure. They do whatever the heck they want, and neither doctors nor patients have any say. Unless, I suppose, they have enough pull with their Senator. If mistakes in filing are made, then claims will be denied You can bet they'll find mistakes. I didn't have many Medicaid patients, but the ones I did have I was seeing for free. They would football the claims back and forth forever. The game was not worth the candles. All that said, ALL healthcare systems on this planet - somehow - "work". My main objection to GovCare is that Big Government is inescapably a corrupt government. It will destroy the country. Things have already been allowed to go way too far.
