Dan--My vision is better for reading than it was with contact lenses. I'm in my late 50's, so I'm supposed to have trouble reading without glasses. However, I can resd most things now without any glasses, whereas I couldn't before--when I was wearing my contacts. There is a tradeoff. My doctor told me that a lot of patients opt for less than 20/20 correction so they can read better. I play a lot of sports and spend a lot of time outside, so I wanted the best vision I could get. But, you can somewhat customize, if you choose.
