We didn't want the money spent because there is no evidence that blowing money will make a bad economy turn around. Employing people for infrastructure projects isn't "blowing money". Saving jobs when the unemployment rate is approaching 10% isn't "blowing money". Cutting taxes isn't stimulus, it gets saved not spent. Everybody knows this except you right wingnuts.
