Proenneke was a bit of a purist. He didn't even fly in handles for his tools. He made them on site. I'm more practical, objective oriented. I just want the cabin to be done. He was extraordinary, partly because he did the extraordinary but mostly because he documented everything on film. I know somebody just like that. His cabin is much bigger, but you can drive to it.
