as long as the programs appear to genuinely address things That is the problem with most programs today - appearances over substance - they seem afraid to examine critically and cancel or change programs. The rush to pass legislation that commits us to billions or trillions in spending without taking time to review what we're doing. so I'm ok with spending on education Don't we all - the trouble is every time a government out of control starts asking for money they turn the priorities upside down and claim fire, police and schools are at risk - instead they should fund those essentials first and then tell us the salt marsh mouse research or needle programs are at risk.
