I can really relate to that. I grew up, well into my late 20's with a horrible nick name. I was finally able to convince my family, who were the only ones that continued using it, to realize I was no longer going to tolerate it. Now, even my mother and brother call me Ken. Some friends call me Kenny, but the old nick is lost....

Then, a week ago, I went to my 55th high school reunion. One of my old class mates read my name tag and shouted "Who the hell is Ken Adams?", jokingly, of course. That evening I got the old nickname from everyone. LOL
