THink about it. China has 30 times as many people we have. It is inevitable that they would create more pollution than us as their economy grows. It is also inevitable that their energy needs will become a strategic weakness for them if they rely on traditional energy models such as coal and oil. For them, there is no choice but to reach deep to include nuclear and renewable energy sources as part of their energy strategy. They know it too. They are pulling out all the stops to lead in those areas.
